Construction projects
Steel erection, precast, formwork and plant placement on commercial, industrial and civil builds.
Trade labour hire · Sydney & NSW
Licensed operators who read the load chart before they read the lift plan, and know when to say no. Slewing, pick-and-carry, vehicle-loading, bridge and gantry.
The trade
Every lift on a Sydney site is a decision. A crane operator we supply might be running a pick-and-carry crane around a precast yard in Western Sydney, a 60-tonne slewing crane placing structural steel on a commercial build near Parramatta, a vehicle-loading crane delivering switchboards to a plant in Smithfield, or a bridge or gantry crane moving coil, plate and fabricated sections in a shop or a mill. The crane changes. The discipline does not: pre-start, ground conditions, load chart, exclusion zone, clear comms with the dogman, and the confidence to stop a lift that is not right.
We supply crane operators to builders, crane hire companies, fabrication shops, ports and heavy industry across Sydney and NSW, including Port Botany, Port Kembla, Newcastle and the Hunter. We supply the operator, not the crane; most of our clients own or hire the machine and need a licensed, competent person in the seat.
Licences & tickets
The High Risk Work Licence is the start, not the finish. We verify the class, then test the judgement.
The Smart Standard
We test crane operators on paper first. A load chart and a scenario: load plus rigging weight, radius, boom length, configuration and deductions. Can they lift it, with what margin, and what changes if the dogman wants another two metres of radius? Then outrigger pads and ground bearing, approach distances to overhead powerlines and when the network operator gets a call, wind limits, the pre-start sequence, and the signals they expect from the dogman by hand, whistle and radio.
Then the seat: a verification of competency on the crane class where we can arrange it, or evidence of a recent VOC on the same type. Then a conversation with a supervisor from their last site. Only then the rest of The Smart Standard.
Radius, configuration, deductions and margin, worked through on a real chart.
Ground bearing, outrigger pads, powerline clearances, wind and pre-start.
Competency on the crane type verified; a supervisor from the last site spoken to.
Licence verification, VEVO, National Police Check, medical, psychometric profile and our safety induction.
Engagements
Steel erection, precast, formwork and plant placement on commercial, industrial and civil builds.
Licensed operators for crane hire companies when rosters, leave and demand do not line up.
Lifting support for mechanical crews pulling gearboxes, pumps, screens and liners.
Bridge and gantry operators who also sling, for fabrication shops and steel processing.
Night shift, weekend and leave cover without putting an unlicensed hand in the seat.
An operator embedded in your yard or plant, with the option to make it permanent.
Industries
Also common: overhead cranes in manufacturing, shutdown lifting in mining & resources, and vehicle-loading cranes in logistics & warehousing.
Questions
Slewing mobile crane classes C2, C6, C1 and C0, non-slewing CN, vehicle-loading CV and bridge and gantry CB, with tower crane CT operators on request. Every licence is verified against the register before the operator starts, and we arrange or evidence a VOC on your crane type.
No. We supply licensed operators to sites and crane hire companies that own or hire the machine. If you need a crane and crew, we are happy to work alongside your crane hire provider.
Many of our mobile and vehicle-loading crane operators hold HR or HC heavy vehicle licences. Tell us if road travel is part of the role and we will match an operator who holds the right class.
Yes. We supply complete crane crews: operator plus dogman or rigger, inducted together, who already know how each other works. Many of our operators also hold dogging so they can sling their own loads on small jobs.
A load chart scenario with deductions and radius, a set-up and hazards talk-through, a VOC on the crane class and a conversation with a supervisor from their last site. A licence proves training; the test proves judgement.
Tell us the crane type, the site and the start date and we will tell you honestly what we can fill. Operators with the right class and a current VOC on a specific machine are a smaller pool than general trades, so notice helps.
