Smart Industrial supplies the industries that keep NSW running with industrial labour hire, and with permanent recruitment for all roles, from our base in Padstow, Sydney. We know what a good fitter looks like because we have been one.
Our story
From the tools to the office
Smart Industrial was built on the expertise of commercial and heavy industrial electricians, backed by a team of welder fabricators and fitters. We know what goes wrong with labour hire from the site side: workers sent to sites nobody checked, tickets nobody verified, and a phone that rings out when something breaks at two in the morning.
So we built the company we wanted to work for and buy from. Every worker is trade-tested by a tradesperson, vetted in-house and safety-inducted by us before they reach a client's site. Every client gets a profile before a person, a timesheet before an invoice, and a check-in after both. We call it The Smart Standard.
We supply nine trades across six industries, plus the shutdown and fabrication crews that work across all of them: from manufacturing and construction to mining, infrastructure, food and beverage, and logistics. Our base is 1 Watson Road, Padstow, in Sydney's southern industrial belt: we work Sydney-wide, across NSW and into regional operations.
Labour hire is not all we do. We also run permanent recruitment for all roles, from the tools to the office: retained, contingent and exclusive search, led by people who know the work.

Right person or no person
If we cannot place the right people for your job, we will not place anyone. We would rather lose a placement than send under-qualified labour.

Safety before schedule
Every worker is inducted by us first and has our backing to stop a job that is not safe. No deadline changes that.

Straight talk
If we cannot fill a role in your window, we say so. If a worker is not working out, tell us and we fix it.

Rapid response
Labour is often a last-minute problem: sickness, project demand, workflow. We move fast without skipping a single check.
