Manufacturing labour hire in Sydney

Maintenance and project trades for the plants that make things in Western Sydney. People who understand that the line is the business, and that the maintenance window is never long enough.

The operating reality

Where the line is the business

Sydney's manufacturing belt runs from Padstow and Revesby out through Smithfield and Wetherill Park to Erskine Park, Minto and Ingleburn. Packaging lines, presses, extruders, CNC cells, furnaces, paper machines, glass lines. The equipment is often older than the people running it, the maintenance crew is leaner than it was, and the production plan does not care about either.

That is the environment our tradespeople come from. They know a breakdown is costed by the minute, that the real maintenance window is a Sunday night or the Christmas shutdown, and that nobody gets to touch a machine until it is isolated, locked and proven dead. Our team has supported ongoing maintenance and plant modifications at Visy Glass and Paper, and that is the kind of work we build crews for.

  • Maintenance cover: electricians and fitters on your roster for breakdowns, PMs and shift cover.
  • Shutdowns: crews for planned outages, including the Christmas and Easter windows.
  • Projects: line installs, relocations, guarding upgrades and commissioning.

Questions

Manufacturing labour hire FAQs

Can you cover our Christmas or Easter shutdown?

Yes. Shutdown windows are planned months out and so are we. Brief us early with the scope and we will build a crew of fitters, electricians, boilermakers, trade assistants and a supervisor if you want one, inducted together before the window opens.

Do your people understand isolation and lock-out?

It is part of our trade test for every electrician and fitter, including stored energy and test-for-dead. Your site procedure is then briefed before day one, and our workers expect to be held to it.

Can I get the same person back each time?

Wherever we can, yes. Continuity matters on a plant: someone who knows your machines is worth more every week they return. Tell us who worked well and we will prioritise them for your next request.

We are an EBA site. How does that work?

Tell us about the site when you brief us. Our people know how agreement sites run, and our rates and briefing reflect it. Our Smart Standard page covers our Fair Work approach.

Do you supply night shift and weekend cover?

Yes. Shift cover for leave, rosters and peak production is one of the most common ways manufacturers use us. Penalty rates are applied correctly under the applicable award.

Can we hire a worker permanently after a placement?

Yes. Temp-to-perm is a normal part of how we work. Trial a tradesperson on your plant, then take them on when it suits both sides; the terms are agreed up front so there are no surprises.
